A small mention...in very big company. We’re honored that our NINE-TEN Restaurant & Bar was featured in Condé Nast Traveler look at how San Diego’s dining scene has officially “grown up.” To be recognized alongside some of the city’s most exciting restaurants, and noted as “still going strong”, feels especially meaningful as the restaurant approaches its 25th anniversary this July.

Happy Birthday to Us! Today the Grande Colonial Hotel celebrates 113 years in the heart of La Jolla Village.
Since 1913, our property has evolved with the times while preserving the character and hospitality that define a true landmark hotel. Generations of travelers, team members, and community partners have shaped our story, and we’re proud to continue building on that legacy today.
We're sharing a few historic images from our archives as a tribute to where we began, and to the people who continue to bring the Grande Colonial experience to life each day.

What a fantastic day in La Jolla! The Grande Colonial Hotel, La Jolla and NINE-TEN Restaurant & Bar crew showed up in full holiday spirit for the 69th La Jolla Christmas Parade this past weekend. And we were SO proud to cheer on our GM, Kim Avant, who was selected as this year’s Heritage Marshal! Kim rolled through the Village in a gorgeous 1960 Cadillac while our team marched behind with candy canes, a festive golf cart, and lots of holiday cheer. Such a fun day celebrating our community, our history, and our amazing team. Happy Holidays!
