Before there was Bud’s Louisiana Cafe, there was a little restaurant in New Orleans called Feelings Cafe.

In 1979, Bud took a chance on a dream that would eventually grow into a lifetime of restaurants, countless memories, and the food we still proudly serve today.

Every plate has a story. This is where ours began.

This might be the most underrated thing on the menu.

Blackened catfish, pan-seared and finished in the oven until perfectly flaky. Served with white rice, green beans, and topped with our house-made jalapeño tartar sauce that adds just the right amount of heat.

If you’re looking for something lighter than fried seafood without sacrificing flavor, this is the move.

To get to Viewridge Avenue in San Diego, you can take the public transport option by taking the MTS bus route #41 or #237 and getting off at the stop closest to Viewridge Avenue. Alternatively, if you are driving, take interstate 15 heading south and exit at Aero Drive. Turn left onto Murphy Canyon Road and continue onto Kearny Villa Road until you reach Viewridge Avenue. There should be parking available on either side of the street.
