Every Wednesday until Halloween Weekend, we're inviting all friends and neighbors to gather around a campfire under the night sky for an evening of thrilling tales.

Listen as storytellers weave tales of things that go bump in the night, sharing stories that are sure to send shivers down your spine. This event is free, open to all ages. The Dojo Cafe will be providing complimentary coffee and hot chocolate to keep you warm.

Fair@44 began in 2017 at the corner of El Cajon Boulevard and 44th Street with a bold vision: transform a temporarily vacant lot into a vibrant community space. It quickly grew into a flourishing hub — an international marketplace where immigrant, refugee, women, and minority entrepreneurs could start and grow their businesses, and a beloved spot where neighbors gathered to enjoy food, music, films, and culture.

We are grateful that the initial vision was given the time and space to develop into a space that touched so many people so meaningfully. Today, we celebrate Fair@44’s legacy while looking ahead to the future at El Cajon Boulevard and Fairmount Avenue — a new, beautiful three-story commercial building that will bring services and fresh energy to the Boulevard and City Heights, coming soon!
