Today we set up a small pop-up for the Walk to Remember with … but the meaning behind it is anything but small.

This day is for the babies who were loved long before they were held, and will be loved long after. It’s for the parents who carry both love and loss in the same heartbeat.

We are honoring all the little ones gone too soon… including our very own, our son, our angel.

Noa Kai, we carried you for 8.5 months, but we will carry you in our hearts for a lifetime. Every step we take today, every moment we show up, is for you. You are the reason this day holds such a deep and sacred place in our hearts.

We miss you more than words will ever be able to express, but we find comfort in knowing you are wrapped in God’s arms. Until we meet again, our love for you will never fade.

Today is a bittersweet day for us as we say goodbye to Chloe on her last day at All Things Ube.

What was meant to be a short term fill in for a few weeks turned into a whole year with us, and we’re so grateful it did. Your time, effort, and heart did not go unnoticed, and you truly became part of our team and family.

We’re so proud of you and wish you nothing but success in your studies and everything ahead.

Yesterday we found out that one of our co-vendors passed away.

This one hurt.

Paul was someone most of us ran into over and over again at farmers markets all over the county. If you’ve ever had his mango sticky rice, you know. But more than the food, it was him. He was welcoming. Easy to talk to. Always grinding. Always showing up.

Vendor life isn’t easy. We wake up before the sun, haul tents and tables, set up in the dark, serve all day, break everything down, then try to squeeze in whatever time we have left with our families. Some weekends we’re at multiple events. Some days we’re running on barely any sleep. But we do it because we love it. Because this is how we provide. Because this is our dream.

I once heard someone say vendors make a place look like a swap meet. That comment stuck with me. Because the truth is, it’s vendors like Paul who give these spaces life. We’re not just booths. We’re families. We’re stories. We’re small businesses sacrificing a lot behind the scenes.

Paul’s passing is a heavy reminder that our health matters. No event, no sale, no long weekend is worth running ourselves into the ground. We have to take care of ourselves the same way we take care of our businesses.

So I’m asking this from the heart, be kind to small businesses. If you see a farmers market, walk around. Buy something small. Share a post. Tell a friend. That support means more than you know.

To all our co-vendors, please stay safe and stay healthy. Take breaks. Drink water. Go home and hug your loved ones.

Rest easy, Paul. You’ll be missed. 💜
