Here’s to the dads. This weekend, we’re going all out. 🥩🍷
The grill masters who don’t need a recipe. The guys who show up early and fix the thing nobody asked them to fix. This Father’s Day, we’re spoiling them — Dad’s favorites, done right, no shortcuts.
🥩 Grilled Ribeye with Diane Sauce — starting Thursday. Rich, peppery, and (unlike a certain category of restaurant) it comes WITH sides. Included. Imagine that.
🍝 Lamb Osso Bucco over Risotto — braised fall-off-the-bone, over creamy risotto. The dish that makes the table go quiet.
🍆 Chicken Eggplant Parm over Linguine — crispy, cheesy, stacked. We filmed it coming together — watch the Reel.
And the move of the weekend: our garden patio opens for ONE day only — Saturday, June 20. Best seats we’ve got, limited tables, reservations only. Call ahead and ask for the garden patio. 🌿

Here's to the dads — the grill masters who insist they don't need a recipe, and deserve everything anyway.
This weekend we're going all out for Father's Day. Dad's favorites, done the way they deserve — no shortcuts, no skimping, no "market price" surprises.
🥩 Starting Thursday: a Grilled Ribeye with Diane Sauce — rich, peppery, a little dramatic in the best way. And here's the part the steakhouses don't want you to know: ours comes with sides. Plural. Included. No $14 creamed spinach you have to split four ways.
🍝 Lamb Osso Bucco over Risotto — slow-braised until it falls off the bone, over creamy risotto that soaks up every bit.
🍆 Chicken Eggplant Parm over Linguine — crispy, cheesy, and honestly mesmerizing. We caught it being made on camera.

The whole world is showing up to our corner of the map this summer — and we're throwing our own version of the party.
It doesn't happen often. Once every four years, the entire planet stops and watches the same thing at the same time. This summer it's right here: the World Cup kicks off Thursday, June 11, hosted across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. We'll have the games on at the bar — grab a stool and watch with us.
We may be a Greek-owned neighborhood spot (and yes, Greece didn't qualify — we've made our peace with it, mostly 😅), but we know a global party when we see one. So we made a drink for it: the Watermelon Tamarind Margarita. Blanco tequila, fresh lime, real watermelon juice, a house tamarind syrup, and a tajín rim that gives every sip a little salt, a little heat, a little magic. It's basically a love letter to the host countries in a glass.
And from our own homeland, this week's special: Lamb Dolmas — tender grape leaves wrapped around seasoned lamb and rice, slow-cooked the traditional way. Pair it with the Three Sticks Pinot Noir from Yanni's cellar and you've got the night.

Where did the sun go? We don't know either — but we've got a plan for the rest of the week.
Four quick things from Yanni's this week.
First — a public service announcement for cloudy May days: 🍰 + ☕ Tiramisu and a cappuccino. Together. It's the underrated dessert move you didn't know you needed. Once you try it, you'll be a little mad nobody told you sooner. Consider yourself told.
Second — congratulations, Class of 2026. 🎓 And a huge hug to every parent, grandparent, aunt and uncle who got them across the stage. We'd love to be part of the celebration. We have patio tables, family-size rooms, and private dining up to 140 guests. Call us, tell us your group size, and we'll plan the night.
Third — this Thursday's special is one to plan around: Pork Saltimbocca. Pan-seared pork, layered with prosciutto and kasseri cheese, finished in a marsala cream sauce with shallots, mushrooms, and demi-glace. Comfort and elegance on the same plate.

Three reasons this is one of our favorite weeks of the year. 🎵🍽️🍷
A big week at Yanni’s, and we couldn’t keep it to ourselves.
First — music. Bella Cloud, Yanni and Denise’s daughter, just released a new song called “Spin.” Recorded to tape in Portland with members of The Decemberists and Shook Twins, it already earned a premiere on Atwood Magazine. It’s tender, beautiful, and unmistakably her parents’ daughter. (Link in bio — give it a listen. 🎧)
Then — a rare one. Calamari Steak with Mussels in Saffron Sauce hits the menu. This dish almost never appears. Tender calamari, briny mussels, a saffron sauce that turns the whole plate gold. Make your reservation.
And to pair with it — the Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo, now by the glass. “Forty Harvests,” named for 40-year-old vines in Rueda, Spain. Bright citrus, stone fruit, a finish that lingers. Made for that saffron sauce.

Yanni’s home. 🎂
After postcards from London, Napoli, and Crete, Yanni and Denise are officially back in Scripps Ranch. The trip was incredible. But his birthday this week was a good reminder of where his heart really is — right here, at the restaurant, with the people who’ve made the last 25 years possible.
If you see him this week, wish him a happy birthday.
And come hungry.
Starting Thursday for dinner: Pork Scallopini. Breaded, seared, finished with garlic, capers, shallots, white wine, and lemon. The kind of sauce you drag bread through.
Pair it with the Fragospito — a Syrah/Cabernet from Crete. It’s the first bottle Yanni reached for when he got home. One sip and you’ll understand why it followed him back.
