We’re sharing this incident to help keep our community and other local businesses informed and alert.

On September 19, the individual shown entered our Sherman Oaks location, asked for water, and stated that he was waiting for a companion. Shortly afterward, he grabbed a purse belonging to one of our team members and ran out of the restaurant.

He then left the area in a red Nissan SUV that appeared to be a Nissan Kicks.

The individual shown above used counterfeit $20 bills at our Brea location. We’re sharing this to help other local businesses stay alert.

If you recognize this individual or have any information that may help identify them, please contact us. This incident has been reported to the Brea Police Department.

To help prevent similar incidents, we have also strengthened our cash-handling procedures by implementing counterfeit money detectors at all PKG locations. To get to the restaurant on Camino de la Reina in San Diego, if you are using public transport, you can take the trolley to Mission Valley station and then walk for about 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can take bus number 41 or 120 and get off at Mission Center Road & Camino de la Reina, from where it is only a short walk to the restaurant.

If you plan to drive, from I-8 E/W take the exit toward Qualcomm Way, merge onto Frazee Road and turn right onto Friars Rd. Turn left onto Avenida del Rio and make another left onto Camino de la Reina. The restaurant should be on your right-hand side.

Parking is available around the restaurant area either at nearby parking lots or street parking.
