Sovereign Thai Cuisine is looking for a full time or part time chef to join our strong team and utilize fresh, high quality ingredients in making exciting modern takes on traditional Isaan/Thai menu items.
About
Sovereign is a new restaurant concept developed by Saiko Restaurant Concepts and Piti, LLC in San Diego, CA. The cuisine will be expertly paired with local craft beer, new and old world wines, and traditional Japanese sake. The food will be clean and focused. Located in the revitalized cosmopolitan neighborhood of San Diego’s East Village, diners will experience cutting edge cuisine presented in a clean modern format against the backdrop of urban design. Through years of experience and research, the Sovereign Management Team has developed an extensive list of culinary offerings that combines traditional flavors with local ingredients and modern techniques. By presenting this food in a creative and progressive way, Sovereign will instantly stand apart from its competition.
Requirements:
We are seeking friendly and motivated people who thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment and share our passion for delicious high quality and exciting food.
-3+ years experience working in a Thai (or similar) kitchen
-Positive and professional attitude
-Dedicated to quality of work
-Food Handler license
-Must be able to lead in the kitchen, following a crafted menu to serve a 70 seat restaurant
-Keeps a clean workplace and follows all food safety and sanitation procedures
-Ability to stand for long periods of time
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs
