A new burger has moved into the top spot as my favorite burger of all time. Only bad thing is that I had to go all the way to San Diego to find it! I guess just add another point to the “move to San Diego” column. Lol

This is Hodad’s. Known for laid back vibes and monster burgers featuring literal slabs of bacon it is a place you need to visit if you ever find yourself in the San Diego area. Every messy bite was pure bliss and I cannot wait to go back for more and to try their insane milkshakes.

Public transport:
- Take the trolley to the Old Town Transit Center and transfer to the 35 bus towards Ocean Beach
- Get off at the OB Pier stop and walk east towards Newport Avenue

Driving/parking:
- From I-5, take the Sea World Drive exit and head west
- Turn left onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd and continue straight until it turns into Newport Ave
- There is street parking available along Newport Ave, as well as a public lot nearby.

The restaurant is now run by third-generation family member Shane Hardin, son of the famous Burgermeister Mike "Bossman" Hardin.
