Best Ranglek is a hospitality operator known for nationally recognized service standards, high-touch guest experience, and a deep specialization in beverage curation. Trained in old-school Japanese hospitality, Best built his foundation on precision, restraint, and quiet excellence.

During his tenure at Tei-An in Dallas, he helped elevate the dining experience while developing one of the most respected sake and rare spirits programs in the region. He is also known for creating one of the most exclusive membership programs in Dallas — built around a tasteful, highly curated circle of clientele and private experiences.

Best has also consulted multiple hospitality concepts on direction and identity, helping shape brand standards, service philosophy, and guest experience.

Best is credited with introducing landmark launches in Texas, including IWA sake, and launching Yamazaki 55 — alongside other rare allocations across whisky, wine, and Japanese spirits.

Meet our Maître d’ Tanya Koran

Tanya’s relationship with hospitality began early. Raised in the restaurant industry, she started working at her family’s restaurant, Rosati’s, at just 14 years old—building her foundation on consistency, care, and genuine human connection.

Over the years, Tanya has developed an extensive career in high-volume, high-profile restaurant environments, holding leadership roles with Catch Hospitality Group and Gibsons, where she specialized in guest relations, VIP cultivation, and front-of-house operations in fast-paced, luxury-driven settings. At Gibsons, she also brought her creative background into hospitality, designing seasonal lounge uniforms to support brand cohesion and elevate the guest experience.

Tanya later served as Director of Events at Nick & Sam’s in Dallas, one of the city’s most iconic and highest-volume restaurants. In this role, she led large-scale private dining and event operations—overseeing client relations, custom menus, staffing, logistics, and on-site ex*****on with precision and calm leadership.

Introducing Mark Valin — The Mind Behind the Cellar

Mark Valin brings over 20 years of wine experience, spanning elite hospitality, vineyard development, and rare bottle sourcing.

At just 21 years old, Mark earned his breakthrough role as Wine Buyer at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe — later overseeing the club’s wine program as Sommelier and Food & Beverage Director for nearly a decade.

From 2016–2025, Mark focused exclusively on wine as Wine Director at The Bridges and co-founder of Made by Light, where he helped plant a 30-acre organically farmed vineyard, worked harvest, developed winemaking practices, designed labels, and built regional distribution.

Mark’s perspective is rare — equal parts service, education, and production. He has judged multiple competitions and contributed to events like LA Food & Wine, Del Mar, and Pebble Beach.

He holds diplomas from the International Sommelier Guild and DipWSET, mentored under Master Sommelier Peter Neptune.
