So we’re really leaning into the patio vibes this summer. We bought these folding chairs to add to ‘em. But here’s the thing, they don’t have those little scratches yet, like all those beach chairs we had growing up.
So that means YOU need to come wear ‘em in.
Today’s Tuesday, BURGER DAY ($15 for a burger, fries & any beer), the Padres are on at 6:40 & this June gloom should burn off by the time we open at 3pm. So cruise thru! grab a pint, pull up a folding chair, and make our patio yours.

How about a lil neighborhood history on a Thursday?
We get asked all the time about why are we called “Majorette”? Often mispronounced to like, Marjorie, or marjoram or some version of that buttttt there is a story!
Back in the day, there use to be this massive 100’ tall neon sign just a few blocks away, on the backside of a drive in movie theatre called Campus plaza that had a pool & mini golf course at one point!— see slide 2) that operated from the 40’s through the 80’s.
The drive in went the way of the buffalo to make way for a shopping center, and with it went the neon.
The actual neon was inspired by Marion Baker, a pretty famous majorette (or drum line leader) who attended SDSU & went on to perform for the military the LA Rams, USC & more.
The reality is that this neighborhood doesn’t have a ton in terms of notable iconography, but we knew that when we took over a bar that existed at the same time as this epic place, we had to draw on it somehow.
How wild are these photos tho? The first one was in Life magazine & man would I love to know what they were goin’ for. We took some seriously high quality scans before we opened with the anticipation of blowin’ em up and framing them for the bar. But that ish is expensiiiiiiive.
So there we go. Majorette. Come grab a cold one soon.
be good, love ya!
