The Cardiff Office, a bar & grill that has been around since 1965 and is considered one of the best dive bars in the city, is tucked away in a tiny strip mall next to VG Donuts & Bakery. The walls are paneled in light natural wood and festooned with all manners of sports memorabilia. Inside, customers from young surf rats to just-off-work businessmen lounge at the bar or satellite tables and watch sports on TVs while enjoying an unpretentious mix of drinks. The billiards room is a separate, recessed area with three tables where regular tournaments are held. Unfortunately, this restaurant has not updated its profile for more than 4 years and might be closed down.

To get to Aberdeen Drive in Encinitas, you can take the public transportation option by taking the bus that stops at Encinitas Station, which is located on Vulcan Ave. From there, you can walk for about 10 minutes along the N Coast Highway and head west towards Aberdeen Drive.
For those who prefer driving, you can take I-5 and exit at Encinitas Blvd heading east. Turn left onto Coast Hwy 101 and follow it until you reach Aberdeen Dr. There is a parking lot available near the intersection of Aberdeen Dr and Coast HWY 101 or street parking might be available as well.
