Our 3-month Barista training program graduated 7 cohorts, a total of 56 youth, over the course of 5 years. A big thank you to our prior funders including City of San Diego, & Wells Fargo. We appreciate all the coffee industry experts for their time and sharing their expertise.

To get to the coffee shop on Beyer Boulevard in San Diego via public transport, take the Green Line Trolley towards Santee and then get off at the Beyer Blvd station. From there, walk east for about 4 blocks until you reach the coffee shop.
If driving, take I-5 South and exit onto CA-905 East towards Otay Mesa. Take the Beyer Blvd exit and turn left onto Beyer Blvd. The coffee shop will be located on your right-hand side. There is street parking available in front of the store or nearby parking lots that can be used for a fee.

As a non-profit specialty coffee training program and cafe, Elkfe is committed to empowering young people aged 14-24 with barista job training, skills development, and educational opportunities.
The baristas at Elkfe are passionate about coffee and are educated on the coffee industry in San Diego, small business ownership, entrepreneurship, brewing techniques, latte art, and customer service. They work hard to provide an amazing Specialty Coffee Experience for their customers.
What's more, Elkfe has economic partnerships with local vendors and is located in the courtyard of San Ysidro Health at 4004 Beyer Blvd. This means that not only do you get to enjoy delicious coffee but you also get to support the local community.
