Ok folks. Galaxy Taco closed in November. We have re concepted the space and turned it into a warm, comfortable new restaurant called Sandpiper.

We closed Galaxy Taco in November 2021 and have been working hard to re concept the space.
We would like to introduce, Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill and Oysters!
A neighborhood dining destination with a menu of fun shareable items from our oyster bar and wood fired grill. Desserts from Georges at the Cove pastry chef Aly Lyng.
Christine Rivera continues as our chef and we welcome Evan Vallee as our GM. Evan is a career veteran and Advanced Sommelier who will be putting a carefully chosen wine and full bar program focused on the classics.

To get to the location at Avenida de la Playa in San Diego, you can take the bus or trolley and get off at the La Jolla Village Square Transit Center. From there, walk towards Avenida de la Playa and turn left. The destination will be on your right.

If you are driving, take I-5 and exit at La Jolla Village Drive. Turn west onto La Jolla Village Drive and continue until you reach Avenida de la Playa. Turn right onto Avenida de la Playa and the destination will be on your left. Parking is available along the street or in nearby parking lots.
