National Donut Day started with a simple act of kindness.

Back in World War One, Salvation Army Donut Lassies served fresh donuts and coffee to American soldiers far from home. That tradition continues Friday, June 5th aboard the historic USS Midway Museum for the National Donut Day Donut Festival.

Join us from Noon to 2 PM for live music, family fun, sweet treats, and support for veterans in need here in San Diego.

And yes… Mary’s Donuts will be there serving their famous Sweet Cheese grilled cheese donuts.
