We’re incredibly honored to share that our #1 selling Ghost Bear Espresso, crafted with our award-winning Philippine specialty coffee, is now featured in a dessert course on the tasting menu at Lucien, recently awarded its first Michelin Star.

Congratulations to Chef Elijah Arizmendi and the entire Lucien team on this incredible achievement. Nestled in the heart of La Jolla, Lucien has created a dining experience that reflects the very best of San Diego’s culinary excellence, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate this well-deserved recognition with our friends.

The dessert features Mostra Ghost Bear espresso ice cream alongside San José dark chocolate mousse, soy miso caramel, and koji shoyu chocolate sauce, a beautiful example of how specialty coffee can elevate the culinary experience beyond the cup.

When we founded Mostra, we believed Philippine coffee deserved a seat at the world’s finest tables. Seeing our coffee become part of a Michelin-starred tasting menu is both humbling and inspiring.

As we share this film from our very first coffee origin trip to Mindanao with Mostra co-founder Ronald Samuel Magtanong, we can’t help but reflect on just how special this place is to us.

The mountains, farms, and communities you see in this video are not just coffee origins to us. They are places filled with people we know, families we care about, and farmers whose hands help make every cup of Mostra possible.

Mindanao has given us so much. Some of the most beautiful coffee in the world and a deeper understanding of resilience, faith, and community.

In the wake of the recent earthquake in Mindanao, we continue to hold the region and all affected communities across the Philippines in our prayers. We are praying for the safety, healing, and recovery of every family, every farmer, every first responder, and every person impacted by this tragedy.

There is a beautiful Filipino value called Bayanihan… The spirit of a community coming together to help one another through life’s challenges. It is one of the most beautiful parts of our culture, and it is something we have witnessed time and time again throughout our journey in the Philippines and as Filipino-Americans.

What we’ve learned from the Filipino people is that strength is not the absence of hardship. Strength is showing up for one another through it. That is Bayanihan ❤️

The Foundation for Filipina Women’s Network (FWN) is a global organization that unites and recognizes the top Filipina leaders across 33 countries, celebrating excellence, achievement, and influence across business, technology, the arts, and public service.
