🧁Happy May Day 🧁
I’m originally from the Midwest, where May Day means making little baskets of treats and secretly dropping them off for friends, neighbors, or someone who could use a little extra kindness.
It’s a simple tradition, but it’s really about connection, community, and making sure someone feels thought of and included.
Not everyone out here knows about May Day, so I wanted to share a little piece of it with you. 😊

Some days, my energy is high… and some days, it’s not.
And on those lower-energy days, I’ve learned it’s not about pushing through everything; it’s about choosing the tasks that still keep the business moving forward in a way I can handle.
Stickering boxes.
Folding laundry.
Adding best-by dates.
Taking care of the small things that still matter.
Not every day looks the same, and not every task has to be big to be important.
Showing up in a way that works for me that day, that’s one of the ways I keep going. And that still counts.

At Starry Lane Bakery, we have a no outside food or drink policy.
This isn’t about being strict! It’s about keeping our space safe for the people who rely on us. Many members of our community have severe food allergies, and even small exposures can create real risks.
When outside food or drinks are brought into the bakery, we can’t guarantee what ingredients are present or what allergens may be introduced into the space.
We work incredibly hard to maintain a place where people can walk in and feel confident, safe, and included. That safety depends on everyone helping us protect the environment we’ve built together.
