A few weeks ago we wished our longtime pizza cook, Georgi, “see you later” as he embarked on retirement in his home country of Bulgaria. 🇧🇬 Full of pride for his family and country, Georgi often shared his homemade charcuterie (we’re talking everything made from scratch from pickled vegetables to cured meats) as well as Bulgarian spirits (that we had to be verrrrry careful imbibing 🤪)!

To wish us farewell, Georgi gifted us a palm plant that he and Trevor planted together in the palm garden next to our Fourth Avenue deck. 🌿🤝

We will miss Georgi and thank him for his outstanding pizza-making, kindness, and friendship throughout the past few years. 💚 He will always be part of the Sisters Pizza family!

Thank you to our staff for working tirelessly, making us laugh through the busy days and nights, for those after-hours shift drinks when sometimes we’re so tired we barely even talk but still enjoy each others’ company. 🙌

It’s our tradition to celebrate my sister’s birthday with cake at the restaurant. 💓 Katie’s birthday is August 18th but last weekend we were busy celebrating a wonderful wedding on the central coast, so we celebrated Kate’s birthday today! 🎂 Thanks to all who came out and toasted to Kate with us! She would have been 43 and fabulous! 🍰🥰

The Belly Bomb 💣 , lovingly referencing those delicious little White Castle burgers the sisters grew up with, is not a burger-pie, but will potentially bomb your belly. 🤍🏰

Lots of salami, white onions, and jalapeños- Abe approved! 👍

In researching whether or not “belly bombs” were a cultural reference and not just one my family came up with, we learned that the world record for White Castle burgers is 103 in one 8-minute seating by Joey Chestnut. 😮 🍔 How many slices of Sisters’ Belly Bomb can you eat?!
