A look into the past…

Before Sheldon’s was serving coffee, breakfast, and La Mesa favorites, this spot carried the spirit of a true neighborhood service station.

Back then, people stopped in to fill up the tank.
Today, they stop in to fill up on coffee, good food, and community.

Fresh look, same Sheldon’s spirit.

We’ve always had a website, but we’ve given it a refreshed look with new colors, updated branding, and a cleaner way to explore what we do here at Sheldon’s Service Station.

You can check out the menu, read more about us, and get a better feel for the history and neighborhood roots behind Sheldon’s.

With the new branding, we wanted to bring a little fresh energy while still honoring the old traditions, the Sheldon’s name, the service station origins, and the feeling of a local stop where people come to fuel up, catch up, and feel at home.

Sheldon’s Service Station has always been about more than coffee. It’s about neighbors, familiar faces, good food, and that little La Mesa corner with a story behind it.

As we refresh our brand, we wanted to make sure we honored where this place came from. Before it became the café you know today, this location was once an old vintage service station called Sheldon’s, and that history is staying at the heart of everything we do.

We’ve got a new look and a new website on the way, but the soul of Sheldon’s isn’t changing.

San Diego weather likes to keep things interesting. Cool mornings, warm afternoons, and plenty of sunshine in between.

Good thing our covered patio is ready for all of it. We’ve got heaters to keep things cozy in the morning and plenty of shade when the day starts to warm up.

Grab a hot coffee to start the day or cool off with something iced later on. Either way, the patio at Sheldon’s is a pretty great place to spend a little time.

To get to the coffee shop and breakfast & brunch restaurant on La Mesa Boulevard in La Mesa, you have a few options for transportation. If you're taking public transit, you can take the Green Line trolley towards Santee and get off at the La Mesa Blvd Station. From there, it's just a short 5-minute walk to your destination.

If you're driving, take the I-8 East and exit on El Cajon Blvd. Turn left onto Baltimore Dr and then turn right onto University Ave. Continue straight until you reach La Mesa Blvd, then turn left. There is street parking available nearby or a parking lot across the street from your destination.

No matter how you get there, make sure to savor every sip of your coffee and enjoy your meal!
