Spice & Rice Thai Kitchen was a food lover's dream come true, where authentic Thai cuisine was fused with Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Mexican influences in a contemporary atmosphere to create the perfect blend of a new concept restaurant with a selection of traditional Thai dishes and a superb wine and beer selection. For 20 years, it had been a La Jolla favorite, earning a Best of La Jolla award from a reader's poll in La Jolla Light in 2015. Keeping their customers happy was their passion, so they were proud to take care of their guests with extraordinary service while only using high quality ingredients and the freshest vegetables. Customers could join them on a journey through a type of Thai fusion they've never experienced before at their Girard Avenue location.

To get to Girard Avenue in San Diego, you have a few options for public transport and driving/parking:
Public Transport:
1. From downtown San Diego, take the Route 30 bus towards La Jolla. Get off at the Girard Ave & Pearl St stop. Walk south on Girard Avenue for about 5 minutes.
2. If you're coming from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) area, take the UCSD Shuttle Bus to La Jolla Village Drive & Torrey Pines Road. From there, transfer to the Route 30 bus towards Downtown San Diego and get off at the Girard Ave & Pearl St stop. Walk south on Girard Avenue for about 5 minutes.
Driving/Parking:
1. If you're driving from downtown San Diego, head north on Interstate 5 (I-5) and take exit 26B for La Jolla Parkway toward Ardath Road. Continue onto Torrey Pines Road and then turn right onto Prospect Street. Finally, turn left onto Girard Avenue where you'll find parking options along the street or in nearby parking lots/garages.
2. If you're coming from UCSD or the La Jolla area, head south on Interstate 5 (I-5) and take exit 28B for La Jolla Parkway toward Ardath Road. Merge onto La Jolla Parkway and continue onto Torrey Pines Road. Turn right onto Prospect Street and then left onto Girard Avenue where you'll find parking options along the street or in nearby parking lots/garages.
Remember to check for any specific parking restrictions or fees in the area before leaving your vehicle.
