Berkeley Pizza, a pizza place located in downtown San Diego, was known for its custom stuffed pizzas that are based on years of family cooking. The owner, Danny, was inspired by the great stuffed pizzas found in Berkeley and brought the concept to the people of downtown San Diego and neighboring areas. The restaurant served pizza by the slice, whole pies and an impressive selection of 12 beers on tap at all times from local breweries. Payment via cash and credit card was accepted at the downtown location. Unfortunately, this restaurant has been permanently closed.

To get to Island Avenue in San Diego, you can take the trolley and get off at the Gaslamp Quarter Station. From there, walk east on Market Street until you reach Island Avenue.
If you prefer to drive, take the I-5 or I-805 and exit onto Market Street. Turn east onto Market Street and continue until you reach Island Avenue. There are several parking lots in the area, including a lot on Island Avenue between 6th and 7th streets.
