Today I post this tribute to Te Mana Cafe. We served our community of Ocean Beach with all the Aloha we had to give for 8 years. We are very sad to say to you that our doors will not be opening again. We take away many memories of great food, amazing music, beautiful art and many many relationships that kept us going. What people say
Te Mana Cafe in San Diego is a hidden gem that combines the best of a coffee shop and a Hawaiian restaurant. Located in the heart of Ocean Beach, this cafe offers an unforgettable experience that celebrates both the antiquity of the home and the island lifestyle.
Owned by native San Diegans Jason and Marguerite Cruz, Te Mana Cafe is housed in a beautifully renovated 1924 craftsman style home. The transformation into an Island-style cafe is evident from the moment you step inside. The ambiance exudes warmth and relaxation, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some delicious food and drinks.
One of the highlights of Te Mana Cafe is their impressive selection of beverages. Whether you're in the mood for beer, wine, cocktails, or organic coffee, they have it all. Their handcrafted coffee and tea beverages are a must-try, with their pour over station being particularly popular among locals. And if you're looking for something refreshing, their iced beverages with coffee ice cubes will definitely pump up the taste.
When it comes to food, Te Mana Cafe truly shines with its island-inspired cuisine. From Acai bowls to Hawaiian Plates featuring Kahlua Pork wrapped in banana leaves and seasoned with Hawaiian sea salt, every dish is bursting with flavor. Their secret recipe Island-Love Chicken is another crowd favorite that will leave you craving for more. And don't forget to explore their amazing salads, pastries, and smoothies as well.
What sets Te Mana Cafe apart from other establishments is its commitment to supporting local musicians. Musicians have the right of way at this cafe, freely sharing their gifts with patrons who are grateful for the entertainment they provide. This creates a vibrant atmosphere that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to your dining experience.
Overall, Te Mana Cafe offers much more than just great food and drinks - it provides an escape to an island paradise right in San Diego. With its welcoming atmosphere, delicious cuisine, and dedication to showcasing local talent, this cafe is a must-visit for anyone looking for a taste of the Aloha spirit.
