330pm. Spots 509, 706, 821, 909, 1004 will not be available for selling tommorrow. They're not available because I'm done picking up people's garbage on OUR property.
Guess we'll just keep going until the swap meet is one big dumping ground, and then We'll just close the gates!

It's truly unreal. We're 50% less cost than any swap meet, we let Sellers come and go as entrepreneurs - without having to stay until 3p like all other swap meets...BUT ITS NOT ENOUGH.

Yep, sounds like I'm negative. But, Ive never been told I am in 37 years being an entrepreneur. But, Sellers and all you coffee cup throwing, dog p**p tossing, beer can chunking people - You sure are being the first people to ever make me want to quit a busniess.

Man, out I go, to clean all the broken glass out of the sellers booth. 5 windows broken out. I dont need any remarks really - I'm just sure Dad and Walt Long, would roll in their graves seeing what they built in 1958 - being treated by today's """""""customers""""""

Saturday's - We all need help to make them Great again - please post social media. If a Seller we give $5 off Saturday, Shoppers get in for a dollar if they show social media post!

Sundays we open for Sellers at 440am, lately we are 80% full by 630am, so please come early. Sunday's are $40 no matter what time you arrive Sellers, so please come early.

KOBEYS BEGINS AT ABOUT $60. SPRING VALLEY IS ABOUT $35 A SINGLE SPOT.

Thank you to the Awesome Swapmeet Community, for contributing to the longest running Swapmeet in CA. You know, the next generation will probably not have access and honor of negotiating, finding treasures, etc - Swapmeets will go the way of the Drive-Ins.
ALL things Change. MOST things end. We have this one until August, but, like I mentioned before, why would we all fight to keep this going?

To that end, last Sunday was worst trash day in 20 years that I've been personally involved in swapmeet operations. Took 5 men and myself about 20 total hours to clean this 13 acres.

Sellers - YOU ONLY HAVE TO CLEAN A 18 X 20 SPACE. 360 sq ft!
WE CLEAN 13 ACRES. 585,000 SQUARE FEET

But no more. Starting tomorrow, Saturday, March 14 - none of my team or myself is picking up garbage. NOT SATURDAY, NOT SUNDAY. Yep, NO LEO picking up after you on Sundays.
SO WHEN Y'ALL COME TO THE SWAPMEET AND ITS A MESS - Y'ALL DID IT: NOT MY TEAM WHO HAS PICKED UP AFTER YOU FOR YEARS AND YEARS.
So, I'll place 5 oversize garbage cans on property. Anything else left on property - that garbage will sit there until the ruinators, the dumpers, the scammers - ruin this decades old swapmeet.

We will also now take photos of every Seller in every spot, before and after you leave. Leave Garbage, you'll never sell here again.

It's too bad. Two WWII Decorated Vets built this place and ran it to their deaths. They were such honorable men, but I guarantee our Fathers would be way more harsh if you did this to them.

Sunday begins more daylight hours!! Spring Cleaning Time Everyone. Last year I probably sold or donated 60% of my "possessions". I learned how much emotional ties, even some light trauma, and brain clutter those possessions were causing.

Try it. Going light is the way to go! Haven't really used something in a year? Sell it to someone who will treasure and use it!

See you tommorrow, Seller line opens at 450am! Anyone who wants to bring their truck, car or motorcycle can do so for just $10 any Saturday. Sorry, cant do Sunday, too full!

Well this month is 68 years Santee has been in business in 1 Family.
And I pick up garbage from swapmeet sellers until 245pm(I start at 230am). GARBAGE, I ALLOW YOU TO COME ON PROPERTY AND THIS IS HOW YOU RESPECT OUR BUSINESS - YOUR BUSINESS - ALL MY WORKERS. Then, I go out this afternoon, like I always do, to get our signs by 7Eleven and the Stop sign out front - NOPE, STOLEN.
Someone stole my $500 signs.
So, it's taken me 3 years to secure a place for swapmeet to continue at Grossmont College - WHY WOULD I DO THAT FOR YOU PEOPLE??
We get barked at for a $2 entry - Kobeys is $3, SPring Valley is $2.
We get barked at about a $30 Sat, and $35 Sun sellers entry - YET, Kobeys is $60 and SpringValley is $35 a SPOT.
We give you two spots, both larger than any competitor.

I've kind of had it.

This swapmeet is NOT MY RESPONSIBLITY ALONE.
IT IS ALL OUR RESPONSIBILITY, AND OBVIOUSLY ALOT OF DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE DONT CARE, POLLUTE, RUIN MY BATHROOMS, STEAL MY SIGNS, THROW GARBAGE EVERYWHERE POSSIBLE, AND COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN.
