This feels less like a dinner and more like a fully immersed experience deep in Bali 🛖

hosts an invite-only, multi-course Indonesian dinner run by a husband and wife in the back of their home ($258 per person). There’s a guided walk through their Indonesian garden, time spent around the fire pit and lounge area, and then course after course of comforting and well-spiced food 🌶️

It’s one of the hardest reservations to land in San Diego, with a waitlist that can stretch close to a year but after experiencing it, it all makes sense why.

May 2019…
The first time we laid eyes on her, she stood quietly in the golden Bali light—graceful, timeless, and full of stories we couldn’t yet hear… but somehow already felt.

She wasn’t just a structure.
She was history. She was soul. She was home.

And in that very moment, something shifted.

My husband didn’t just admire her—he fell in love. Deeply. Instantly. The kind of love that doesn’t ask for logic or permission… the kind that simply knows.

While others may have seen wood, carvings, and an old rice house…
he saw childhood memories, culture, identity—Indonesia itself.

“Let’s bring her home,” he said.
And just like that… papers were signed.

People said we were crazy.
“You’re doing what? Bringing a traditional rice house… all the way to America?”

Yes. Crazy in love.
Crazy in belief.
Crazy enough to carry a piece of Indonesia across oceans—just so it could live again, breathe again, and be shared.

Because for him… this wasn’t just about building something.
It was about bringing home… home.

From Bali, May 2019—
that was the beginning of a journey fueled by love, courage, and a dream that refused to stay small.

And today, every corner, every carving, every detail still whispers that same story…
