Chickpea USA was a popular snack van and middle eastern restaurant located on College Avenue. Their food truck provided fresh, made from scratch plates that had stories to be told. Throughout 2021, they celebrated their first year anniversary with specials and invited everyone for a 2 for $10 burger and $1 lemonade. They also offered authentic shawarma wraps and fries, kubba halab stuffed with ground beef and fresh parsley, as well as their own take on classic burgers like the Bro's Burger with cheese. Unfortunately, this restaurant is now permanently closed.

To get to the location on College Avenue in San Diego, you can take the trolley and get off at the City Heights Transit Plaza. From there, walk south on Fairmount Avenue until you reach College Avenue. Turn left onto College Avenue and continue walking until you reach your destination.
If you prefer to drive, take the I-8 East and exit at College Avenue. Turn right onto College Avenue and continue driving until you see a parking lot on your left-hand side. Park there and walk to your destination. Alternatively, if you don't mind street parking, there are usually spots available along College Avenue or nearby side streets.
